We're looking for 50 Mumsnetters and their DCs to attend #MyFirstCoaster day at THORPE PARK Resort and tell us all about it.

Here's what THORPE PARK Resort say: "We see so many excited kids every year who have just reached 1.4m and are now tall enough to have the ride of their lives. At THORPE PARK Resort we're championing this achievement with our #MyFirstCoaster day, and celebrating the moment these kids experience a whole new world of thrills!

Of course THORPE PARK Resort is a day out for all the family and has traditionally been popular amongst older children but for #MyFirstCoaster we are particularly interested in showcasing our thrilling rides and attractions to children who are between 1.4 metres and 1.5 metres tall. As with all theme parks, rides are often, from a safety point of view, suitable for various height children. They have 11 rides and attractions suitable for children who are at or over this height. New for 2015 is the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Maze, which opens on 27 March, which includes family friendly Bush Tucker Trials. For other rides and attractions available click here.”

So, if you have at least one child who fits the bill height wise and is up for a thrilling time, read on...

The Mumsnet event will take place on Saturday 14th March at THORPE PARK Resort.

The chosen Mumsnetters will receive:

  • 4 day tickets given to each Mumsnetter
  • Free ride photo for each family in #MyFirstCoaster branded frame

Those families selected will be asked to:

  • Post their feedback on a thread on Mumsnet after the day to share experiences.
  • Tweet about their visit, with the hashtag #MyFirstCoaster or like the Thorpe Park Resort Facebook page and post about their visit.

We'd also love it if you could take a few photos of your day and upload them to the feedback thread. Photos may be used by THORPE PARK Resort on Facebook, their website and possibly on other marketing material.

Please note a maximum of 4 people per family can attend the day.

If you'd like to take part please add your details here.

We'll be in touch with those selected on 9th March.

Thanks and good luck!
MNHQ

PS: If you’re booked up on the 14th of March, don’t forget that THORPE PARK Resort will be running their new initiative #MyFirstCoaster over the weekend (both Saturday 14 March and Sunday 15 March) where the first 500 people to turn up on each day between 1.4 and 1.5m tall will receive one free ticket for them and one for their parent/guardian.

MummyBtothree · 03/03/2015 16:43

Eastpoint · 03/03/2015 17:07

We went to this last year and it was brilliant. I'd really recommend it to anyone who is at all interested - we had so much fun.

ChippyMinton · 03/03/2015 17:22

ShockHmmGrin
My DCs faces when I suggested signing up. The grinning one was gutted to be 138cm and is digging out her highest heels in anticipation!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 03/03/2015 17:42

Need to measure ds1 once we're home. This could be a long day but it sounds great fun!

MamaSara · 03/03/2015 21:08

DC are still too small Sad

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 06/03/2015 12:54

Never! Now they ant families to go there? I complained about the lack of childrens rides at Thorpe Park in 2013, and got an email back, saying hat Thorpe Park was not a family resort and that its intended audience was teenagers and adults.

JaquelineHyde · 06/03/2015 17:25

Have the people who have been selected been contacted yet?

JaquelineHyde · 06/03/2015 17:26

Ooops ignore me, just seen it says the 9th Grin

CatsCantTwerk · 07/03/2015 08:54

Bring it on lol

gillybean2 · 10/03/2015 08:36

Got offered tickets this morning but have had to turn them down as I'm too ill to go :(
Hope someone else gets to make use of them.

CatsCantTwerk · 11/03/2015 20:05

Same here gillybean2, I had a call from AngelieMumsnet and I had to say no. I feel really bad but due to unforeseen circumstances this weekend just was not possible Sad

BeautyQueenFromMars · 12/03/2015 12:43
