a reasonable question, IMHO, has been deleted from todays 'chat' with Vicki Scott.

I asked what her professional training - whether as a midwife or as an Avent employee - is with regard to giving breastfeeding advice. I guess I should have said 'infant feeding' information.

the powers at MN has deleted this question.

Doesn't any qualification or lack thereof is instrumental when giving infant feeding advice.

If someone is offering advide it's fair enough to ask about thier background.

Peachy · 04/12/2007 10:59

I saw your question, I thought it was relevant.

I ahve some training- UNICEF BFI- and I recognise that it is vastly inferior to some of the qualifications held by epople such as TikTok, as such I owuld hope that anyone who influences feeding practices as a career would be trained to the minimum level of above BFI, yet so many are not

It's still there, isn't it?

JustineMumsnet · 04/12/2007 11:09

Perfectly valid question which we woudn't, of course, delete. It's only personal attacks we're anti - so do feel free to ask away if you have any concerns/ things you'd like to get off your chest .
