What to do with Nasty neighbors?

I moved into my council property in April last year and my family and myself have fallen victim to a discracefull bunch of people next door. Our first encounter was during a heatwave shortly after moving in, my husband and I set up a paddling pool for our 4 children to cool off in. Within around 15 minutes our lovely neighbor started screaming at my husband and our 3 children (I was indoors settling baby for his nap) at the top of her lungs shut your f-ing kids up I can't hear my f-ing tv over your f-ing children.... gob smacked as you can imagine I rushed outside to find out what an earth was happening?! Surly it wasn't my children making that much noise for all my windows and the back door were all open and my baby had fallen asleep to be woken in terror by my neighbors foul screeching over our fence?? Rightfully so my husband told her if she didn't like the noise to shut her windows as it was during the day! She told us to f-off to where we came from and that we were all scumbag c--ts. We didn't know why kids playing in a paddling pool would cause so much harm to her or anyone else. Promptly the children ran inside terrified to death as to them and us they had been screamed at for no reason. We phoned the police and our housing officer to explain what happened and we were advised that we were aloud to make general living noise but to be considerate toward others as we were the police nfa'd it and housing took a log. Needless to say we wanted to move out kids were terrified to go in the garden. Anyway things have since escalated all the time trying to maintain our sanity we have had rocks thrown at our house, garden and hubbys work van, our glass front door smashed. The poor rabbit was attacked when the hutch door was kicked in. Photos taken of our children in swimming costumes. Video recorded on their phones every time we set foot out the door. Our parents intimidated as they walk through the front gate. Shouted foul abuse at us including our children. My hubbys van tires let down. Food chucked in our garden. Social services called on us. While I was painting the bathroom I heard my neighbor screaming at me through my window telling me I was a f-ing grass and to come out because she was going to f-img kill me!! And to top it off I have been told by the police sergeant to stop phoning him because I'm being pathetic it wasn't a threat of course this is just how people talk to each other here...... found out shortly after my fabulous neighbor works at the community centre over the road and has regular meetings with this sergeant to deal with situations over the estate. She has since been fired from her job as the neighbor the other side of her complained about her behaviour. I'm fed up because after a few months of her being quiet but behind the scenes making complaints to our housing office about anything and everything without proof just to log something to make us look like terrible people. I came out of my front door with all four of my children yesterday to have abuse from the 15-16yr old lad (her son) I was shouting at him to get away while he followed me to my car f-ing and blinding at me while I'm holding my toddler 16months and my other 3 children 10, 9 and 8 yrs so I literally told him to f-off and for some reason my adrenaline started pumping and I turned into this mumma bear because he was at this point right behind me as I'm trying to put my tot in his car seat I'm sweating I'm shaking I'm exploding with language i do not use in front of my children I literally opened my mouth and it all came flooding out it did the trick because he started to back off as he started videoing me ranting random crap spluttering out of my mouth I managed to get in the car and safely get far enough away to phone the police. Guess what nfa

This is classic ASBO territory. Go back to the police.

At least now you have a neighbour to corroborate that this woman and her family are a social menace. The council might be able to intervene as landlords.

P.s. looking for a council exchange we have been told by our housing team it'll be a 18month wait for a management move 😞

Why don't you video her behaviour and that of her family back?

I'd be tempted to get a camera over the garden to catch them throwing stuff too.

we are looking into visual and audio cameras can anyone recommend a good set? I think it's better to have them facing out the front and back of the house.

And the local council have told us they would help assist us with a move but only if we downsize the property, but this will cause overcrowding?? I can't understand the logic?

I really could understand what you go through. I did go through similar situation few years ago. Fortunately I was living in a rented home. So, I moved out. The best thing to do in your case is approach a police or local council.

Hello, can anyone please advise? My Grandaughter has been upset by older boys in her Primary school not letting her play and calling her a FUDGE BAR . Is this a racist name? She is of mixed race. I have never heard the term before.
