I took my DS 3years 3mths to see this in Edinburgh in January and he loved it. I bought the cheaper childrens tickets (which were in the balcony) as was reluctant to spend £35-40 each if he didn't like. So even though we were high we still had great view and he was enthralled.
But I would agree with Batters, is very dependent on individual child. MY DS likes to sit quietly as long as can sit on my knee.
