Last Christmas we brought you Idris Elba and this year we're delighted that comedian actor and Outnumbered's long-suffering dad Hugh Dennis is joining us for a pre-Christmas webchat this Wednesday (17 December) between 1.30 and 2.30 (no pressure there Hugh Smile)

Hugh is just back from Myanmar (Burma) with the international anti-poverty charity ActionAid to highlight child poverty this Christmas.Hugh now sponsors 5 year old Lae Yi Soe in the ‘dry zone’ region of Myanmar and he got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet her and her family and to see the difference ActionAid is making to her and so many other children in the area.

Come and chat to Hugh this Wednesday 17 December from 1.30pm or if you’re unable to join us at that time, post your questions to him in advance on this thread.

ActionAid has launched an urgent appeal to find UK sponsors for 2,700 children in countries affected by extreme poverty and war to help give them a future. Click here to find out how you can help.

Great web-chat, sorry I missed it. Thought Hugh was being rather rude about a fellow actor with his "wooden man from the Cuprinol" ad comment Xmas Grin - until Rachael MN illuminated things

JugglingFromHereToThere · 17/12/2014 17:45

New name will be "JugglingWithApostrophesRandomly" Xmas Smile

JugglingFromHereToThere · 17/12/2014 17:51

Am imagining Hugh/Pete in the Outnumbered house with Sue calling out to him "Pete they're still going strong on your thread - and trying to be funny. Come and have a read!"

TiggyD · 17/12/2014 22:20

Thank you for the advice.

Though I would have preferred a magic wand rather than the suggestion of hard word plus time.

TiggyD · 17/12/2014 22:24

Jaffa cake. It is the prince of biscuits. How they get that orange in it, I'll never know.

The Jaffa Cake is a cake not a biscuit. They went to court over that because of some law thing where biscuits get taxed and cakes don't (Or vice versa). Have the Mumsnet lawyers seen this post?

JugglingFromHereToThere · 17/12/2014 23:06

HaHa, did he go for Jaffa cakes?!
Xmas Grin

LineRunner · 18/12/2014 11:31

He likes Russell Brand.

Chandon · 18/12/2014 21:56

I was really disappointed with him for that!
