Bloody price on cbeebies tickets, or am i tight??

Just went to book online, they are £20 each for me and dh and £18 for ds (21 months, i take it he goes as a child)

so thats nearly £60 for a night out not inluding food or anything.

unbelieveable, how do people afford things like this, we both work and dh earns good money, but £60 am

that's nothing, the last time I went to the theatre I paid £50 for a mid-decent seat!

Live theatre doesn't come cheap. We paid over £100 for three tickets to take dd to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang last month ... plus we had to pay almost a year in advance. No discount on children's tickets, and those weren't even the expensive seats.

yes but a trip to the theatre is different this is a show with people dressed up in costume, its ridiculous.
i can take dd to see Annie at the theatre for hald decent seats for £8 per ticket this week.

It is a lovely show for little ones, but yes, the theatre is always expensive for a touring type show. I guess most of it goes to pay the actors and the staging of the show.

Really want to take DD to see Mary Poppins but cheapest tickets available when we hoped to go were £68 each! Hoping it will tour.

She'd probably get far more out of Annie than Cbeebies ... I take it you didn't book the tickets??

was looking to take dd to annie (shes 10) because she did it in drama school last year.
cbeebies was for ds, but yes I probably will stump up the cash.

Or night just take them all to the panto, but think ds is maybe a bit young yet?

£20 each is average cbeebies show is a lot better than u think it is, very well done and the kids all love it!

personally I thought it was a waste of money.

These types of shows are usually very good, well done, probably very expensive to put on and the kids love them, but I am tight too and only ever go if we get comps. For a family of 4 it just gets silly.

i went to wembley with my 2 ds (4.8 and 2.6). i took the older one to birmingham dec 2005 and thought it was great. This time around i thought the marketing in terms of stuff they were trying to folg you was a disgrace and the show was really lazy - nowhere near as much effort seemed to have been put in compared to the previous year - needless to say we wont be going again next xmas - will probably take them to the pantoin Milton Keynes instead.

i dont agree with the prices because at the end of the day children cant go with out an adult so i think it should be 1 adult free with each child ticket .

At some places disabled people get a carer free with them and I think it should be the same with children

No, I don't think you are tight, I think they are overpriced.

They are not the only thing either, sodding English heritage are as bad. Went to visit local not very well known castle, £15.00 adults and £9.00 children.

I know they are national treasures and all that stuff, but other countries don't charge that much
