Hello.

We'd like to invite you to our Mumsnet Twitter party, tonight at 8.30pm.

Seeing as the wine theme of our last Twitter party went down so well , our theme this Friday night is vodka martinis

And our special guest Lisa Klaussmann, author of this summer's must-read novel, Tigers in Red Weather, will be raising her cocktail shaker and joining in the Tweeting, too.

All you need to do to party with us is...

  • Pour yourself a classy summer beverage (why not give our vodka-martini recipe a bit of a whirl?)

  • Turn up on Twitter at 8.30pm and make sure you're following @mumsnettowers (MNHQ) and @Mumsnetbookclub

  • Check out the hashtag #TigersinRedWeather - and join in!

Everyone who takes part, using the hashtag #TigersinRedWeather, will be entered into a draw to win a £50 bundle of books of your choice from PanMacmillan, plus a signed copy of Tigers in Red Weather.

If you're new to Twitter/Twitter parties, you can get some handy hints here.

And if you're not on Twitter, never fear. You can still join in by posting on this thread, too.

Hope to see you all there!

@WhitegoldWielder

Hi - was planning to drop in on twitter but will be sipping cocktails at a different party later! I have already posted a review on another thread but it is a book I will revisit after seeing other people's posts and discussions with my fellow book clubbers as I'm still thinking it over after finishing it a week ago.

My question would be to Lisa - Why did you decide to write it under the five character sub-sections and which was the most difficult to write?

Thanks

Thanks WhitegoldWielder. We'll ask Lisa that - and report back.

You can follow the Party in the Twitter feed over there >>>

OK, Lisa says: "The structure in Tigers In Red Weather reflects my vision of a family: whole, but ultimately separate. I also wanted to explore the ways in which we all experience our families differently with our own unique crazy baggage"...

And: "Helena was probably the hardest to write, because I found her martydom tough to deal with."
