The National Conversation is a UK-wide project looking at people's experiences of community life, and they've asked us to share the details with Mumsnet users.
It asks what community life feels like where you are: what's working, what you value, and what kind of community you want your family to be part of. There are two simple ways to get involved:
- Fill in the survey (around 10 minutes): https://www.national-conversation.ox.ac.uk/en/mumsnet. It's run independently by Nuffield College, University of Oxford. If you use the Mumsnet link, your response will be counted as part of the Mumsnet community.
- Get your child's school or youth group involved. Children and young people aged 16 and under can also take part through The National Conversation: Next Generation. Free resources are available at thenationalconversation.org.uk/young-people.
The insights from this project will feed into the report and recommendations of the Independent Commission on Community and Cohesion — which is independent of government and any political party — due at the end of the year.
You can read more about the National Conversation in coverage from the BBC, Channel 4 News and The Guardian.
