Politicians NOT paying maintenance on ALL of their income. (An eye-opener)

It is a fascinating loop that seems to be unknown by the majority of society, but anyone whose wages are classed as an allowance are excempt from paying Maintenance on that wage.

A county councellor for example may earn £10,000-£15,000 on top of any other job but they have been classed in the same category as retained fire-fighters and Lifeboatmen (How could these be possibly be put in the same bracket?). Everyone else would have to contribute on all incomes, but the children of politicians themselves lose out saving the politicians themselves thousands of pounds!.

I find this highly immoral and knowing this information, you view many decisions in todays government with a slightly different perspective.

Although being brought up by my MP it is strangely dismissed as a legislative problem.
