Anyone taken out "twins insurance" with subsequent pregnancies?

Hi, am just wondering about this...am unexpectedly pregnant again, still very early days and no particular reason to think it will be twins again BUT I'd be really interested to hear if any of you have experience of this.

We have most of the big items like cots, double buggy etc left over from last time but I have given away tons of baby clothes and bottles, steriliser, etc so extra money would be good - possibly worth insuring just in case? Do they even offer insurance to women who've had twins before? I'd never heard of this insurance last time around and tbh, it would never have occurred to me that I might need it! Anyone with any experiences, pos or neg, i'd be v grateful .

I have to say i did because of the gap between ours (our twins will be nearly 5 in Mar when this one's due) and this one being a surprise, I had got rid of absolutely everything from the first time round, and w would have needed a new car! Never the less it was a singleton so was a waste of money, but i don't regret doing it cos if it had been twins we would have been up the proverbial without a paddle financially!

Thanks, that's helpful - do you remember which insurance firm you went through? Have done a quick search on google and there seems to be lots of them that offer insurance. I suppose sod's law means that if you take out the insurance, it won't be needed!

Haven't spent much time looking yet but the premiums seem to be aroung £150 and teh payout seems to be about £1000 - am very tempted, just in case...
