Choosing a single buggy small enough to fit in car boot with a double as well?

Hi everyone,

I am pg with DD3 due in April.
I have twin girls who will be 2 months off 3yo by the time this one comes along.

I have a zafira and a maclaren twin techno but starting to panic about what we are going to do when we all want to go out as a family (for more time than the girls will be able or willing to walk for).

Can anyone recommend a buggy suitable from birth that will fit in my car when I already have the maclaren in there? The maclaren already will only go in diagonally so it has to be a pretty small single buggy.

I have looked in the reviews but most of them dont mention anything about folded size.

Thanks.

Congratulations!

I think Quinny Zapp is the smallest single buggy, but it is not from birth and doesn't recline at all. Handle height: 106.5cm Folded: 69 x 27 x 30cm Weight: 8kg. I have one of these and it is good, but I don't like the noise the wheels make. I far prefer my single Maclaren - could you get another single maclaren and put it on top of the double?

Another one recommended to me with multi-position recline was the Mothercare Jive. The handle height is 98.5cm,the weight is 6kg,the folded dimensions are 101.5 x 28.5 x 5x16cm. It is quite a good price if I remember correctly.

Another worth looking at is the Silver Cross Pop - handle Height 108cm, Weight 6.5kg. Folded dimensions 105 x 29 x 22

Hope this is helpful.

Oops, I forgot to mention...had you thought about one of those buggy pods that is an extra seat that clips onto the side of your pram. I don't know much about these but you could look into it.

Quinny Zapp. It comes with attachments for a maxi-cosi car seat so you can use it with infant carrier until baby is big enough to sit.

I have a Golf and can easily fit the Quinny in the boot along with my Bugaboo Cam!

The Zia is a good option, what about the Obaby Atlas?

We have a Corsa and can fit a Maclaren Trumph double in there and a Maclaren Triumph single on top and still have a little room.
Although I dont think you can use the triumph from birth..not sure.We used a sling for the first few months.

Hi everyone.

Thanks for your responses. I will do some research into these buggys.
