cervical stitch with twin pregnancy

Has anyone had a cervical stitch whilst pregnant with twins due to a previous mid trimester loss of twins?

I had a stitch while pregnant with twins as my cervix started to shorten dramatically at 20 weeks. (My elder daughter was born at 40 weeks.) Once the stitch was in I was also on cyclogest pessaries and virtual bed rest. My twins were born by elective section (as breech) at 38 weeks - no sign they were intending to come out even then.
Know it's not the same, but hope that's a bit helpful.
