very early foetal movements - nine weeks

Hi,

I bet you're all sick of "do you think I could be having twins?" messages from people who probably aren't at all!

But thanks to anyone who reads this.

I am 9 weeks 5 days pregnant, and I am pretty sure of my dates - I took a pregnancy test mid December that was negative, and my last period started on the 21st December. So I don't think I could be further on than I think.

For the last few days I have been feeling very definite foetal movements. At first I thought I was imagining things, but now it is unmistakable. I wondered if anyone who has had twins, or is pregnant with twins, felt very early movement? With my little boy, I felt him move at 19 weeks, although I know it is common to recognise it sooner with the second.

I am also much bigger than I was first time round at this stage. I know that isn;t a sign of twins in itself, but together with the movements. it's made me wonder. My mum says my bump is bigger than someone she works with who is 20 weeks. I was in maternity clothes by 8 weeks. I did show early with my little boy, but not this much!

I have also felt much sicker and more tired - with my boy, I didn;t have any nausea at all, this time I have felt sick pretty much constantly and have actually been sick a few times - I put this and the tiredness down to having a toddler to look after.

there are no twins in the family, except very distantly in my h's mum's family.

I'll be really grateful to anyone who replies, and especially about the movements!

Thanks xxxxx

Hi no twins advice but can say i had movements at 10 weeks, flutterings etc on and off and was also in maternity clothes from 8 weeks, i was massive by 15 weeks and thought scan would say twins, just like i did first time round! Im 29 weeks and no bigger than 15 weeks. Maybe discuss concerns with midwife, she might be able to advise x
