Bathing 9mth old twins on my own.

At the moment my husband and I have a great routine of bathing the babies every night before bed. However, his new job means that he won't be home for bedtime every night. I'd love to be able to bath the twins together (they do sit up very well), but am worried that it'll be too much on my own. At the moment we use a towelling bath seat which means they can recline in the bath (one at a time). Should I get one of those non slip mats for the bath so they can both be in together (worried one will keel over if tired while I'm drying the other), or have considered just bathing each of them every other night. Main problem is that as I've introduced BLW, a lot of food ends up in their hair, so daily bathing is a must to ensure they don't look like complete urchins the following day!
All advice gratefully received!

What about getting 2 bath ring seats so they are secure and you have your hands free?

we have a fantastic 'bath seat' for our 9 month old- means I can have both children in bath and not be worried about not having enough hands...here
would this help?

if they can sit up ok they should be fine together, but I would get a bath mat and wear a waterproof apron! DH and I both managed to bath ours alone from a much younger age, be brave

I used to have my twins in the bath ring seats and their older brother too - it will be fine!

Thanks girls! Bath ring seats will be purchased tomorrow. Need to embrace the change!

I bath our 6mth old twins on my own every night - you'll be fine!

Good luck, and please report back!

Non slip mats are a very good investment, you might need two to cover the whole bath, but you can get them in pound shops, ikea etc. and they're a vital piece of household kit as the babes get bigger anyway. One of my twins had a really bad accident slipping over in the bath when we were washing her on holiday without one. If they can both sit up, then the mats should make it good. Have a go at doing it on your own, but with your husband there if you see what I mean, before his schedule changes.
at hands-on husband BTW!

You could maybe do with one of those towel apron things - that'll help keep you dry and dry the babies at the same time
