9 weeks pregnant with twins and strange pains....

Hello, I've just discovered that I'm having twins and I'm very excited although very nervous as I had a m/c in January at 12 weeks.

I'm sitting at my desk wondering what the hell these pains are. I've had them all day and they are like a dull ache on one side. It hurts more when I stand up. Do I need to worry about m/c or is there a another reason for this? I thought of ligaments stretching. Has anyone else carrying twins had this?

there's a name for those side pains, i can't remember it unfortunately... ligaments stretching about covers it. try not to worry (impossible if you'e had a loss before, i know) and congratulations.

I've no real experience with twins but would suggest that explanations could be

ligaments stretching, or

urine infection (symptoms in pg can be completely different from when not pg), or

maybe miscarriage (hopefully not)

If you are worried about anything in pg always seek medical advice

congratulations on your twin pg! do you have any other children?

Hi,
I had pains in my pregnancy similar and it was due to having had an appendixectimy (excuse the spelling) years before, and my pregnancy was stretching the scar tissue inside. Could it be down to something like that
