Hello!
im preparing for my babies coming in Jan
quite overwhelmed with how much I should be buying in each size. I’m preparing from tiny baby to 0-3months
Sleepsuits and vests

how many of each size would you recommend buying?

I would say approx 6-8 in each size for each baby (if not sharing bodysuits), except tiny baby size - I would just buy one pack of 3 each and get more if needed. That’s unless they’re non DCDA twins or you strongly expect them to be on the early side, then would get more prem clothes.

Neutral bodysuits which can be shared whether or not sharing sleepsuits, approx 10.

I had MCDA twins at 36 weeks and they were 5lbs each so we were in tiny baby for quite a while! Plus they had such skinny legs that often when they peed it just came straight out of the legs holes so we used to go through a few! You can get bundles of barely worn stuff on vinted though which I would recommend as then it doesn't matter too much if they hardly wear it

Have you got a date yet @Otto223? Wink

Otto223 · 22/11/2024 09:39

@TinyMouseTheatre Not yet! I’m having DCDA twins. So if everything goes well then last week of January they will be here looks like it. As I’ll be 37 weeks xx

That's a lovely time to give birth. You can nest at home with them when they're tiny and when you're ready to start going out more the weather should hopefully be getting warmer and the evenings lighter Flowers

@TinyMouseTheatre So true! Aw thank you 😊 I’m out in the cold now and can’t stop thinking how cold my tiny babies would be 🥶🥶

Don't worry too much, remember Next day delivery exists now and these things are easy to pick up in late or even 24 hour supermarket stores if you really are in a bind.

I'd expect to change them at least 3 times a day so work with that: Morning, possible poonami/ damp from dribbling etc, nighttime.

This is so true. My first came out a little smaller than expected. I can remember my DCousin saying that she was coming to visit and me saying that he was so tiny. She turned up with a pack of small baby sleep suits and vests from Tesco. He had grown back out of them after a week or two but it was very useful at the time.

Thank you ladies all for your comments
my actual worry is that I bought TOO much ?! 😂 All from Vinted so I didn’t spend a lot
currently have 12 sleepsuits each in tiny baby. 12 each in first size and same in newborn/upto 1 month. Plus some legging outfits each in newborn. Not sure if I over done it. Means I don’t need to do so much laundry right? 😃🙄

Ha ha ha, if only! GrinGrinGrin

One thing you'll need is a decent washing machine and plenty of washing powder.

Have you got a working walking line and some nice pegs for the spring? Wink
