Hey
its my first pregnancy
twin 1 placenta is posterior and twin 2 anterior

i usually only feel them move at night once I’m in bed laying down, some nights not much movement at all. Cannot really feel movement from twin 2, few days ago I caught a big kick from her but nothing since. I didn’t feel much movement last night or during the night so This morning when I woke up I played with my belly for a bit and got a small tiny kick back from twin 1. Can’t help but worry that I should be feeling more by now?

I think everyone is a bit different really. I’m 25 weeks and can definitely feel them at night. Although like you I have one anterior and one posterior placenta so I can definitely feel one more than the other. In the day I’m so busy (I have a toddler as well) sometimes I just don’t think I notice as much. When was your last scan? Was everything ok?
I think as long as your pattern (whatever that is) doesn’t reduce then it’s ok but if you are really concerned I would call your triage and get checked out.

@Brightandbreezey hey thank you for responding! Yes I’m at work everyday on my feet so I’m too busy / active to be feeling them. Today I had a cheeky can of coke and can feel a lot of movement once im sitting down thank god! Twin 2 on my left side I can’t really feel anything (anterior placenta) so it is really throwing me off! All scans have been okay only the twins are measuring really small, so maybe they still have a lot of space in there hahah. I have another scan on Monday 🤞🏼

Friends who've had pregnancies with a posterior placenta and then another with an anterior placenta have commented to me how much difference it made to feeling movements, but I can imagine it very disconcerting feeling one twin more than the other!

Sometimes one just moves less than the other. Mine were boy left side, girl on right. As far as I know my placentas were behind them (anterior? I get it muddled). But baby boy was much more active than baby girl. Then he was a much wrigglier baby than she was, always kicking his legs around. Now they're nearly 6, she's fast asleep and he still wriggling around in his bed - so nothing much has changed really!
