How to handle sibling gender disappointment?

Our son (6) has been desperate for a little brother. He adores his sister (1) and is a wonderful child. We are pregnant with twins and decided to go for an early gender scan in the hope that at least 1 would be the little brother he's wishing for. Both babies are girls and he keeps saying he feels really sad and this is making me feel guilty which I know is ridiculous and likely due to hormones.

Anyway, does anyone have any experiences with this?

Almost 7 months into our son having 3 sisters, and he has been marvellous. He adores them. I said to him that one day, if any of the girls decided to marry a man, then they would finally get a brother, and he loved that thought.
