midwife has said something that i cant get out of my mind...

hi im 20 weeks preg with id twins and had to go to a twins parenting class last week which i found really useful but i cant get something my midwife said to us out of my mind..... she said " unfortunatly because you are pregnant with twins does not always mean that you will come home with 2 babies you must know this as part of a twin pregnancy" well ever since i have felt nervous and cant get this statement out of my head...

my midwife is great and i really like her shes won midwife of the year several times and im confident with her, so i know shes not just a negative or nasty person but i cannot get this statement to go away out of my head!!

any reassurance?????

I had twin girls at 36 weeks before i go any further they are fine and healthy but she might not mean the worst. I brought my twins home at different times just cause one was smaller and had difficulty feeding so was in NICU.didn't mean I lost one of them just didn't come home with both at the same time. Maybe a slip of the tongue and poor clarification on her behalf?

thank you for all your responces, i dont wanna change midwife ( but i understand why you are saying) because although she has worried me i like her and feel 'safe' with her! i think the language barrier she words things differently than what i would ! reading these message make me feel good and im pretty sure things ARE GOING TO BE OK!!! timesofhope are you having 3???????
