I registered there for what turned out to be a vanishing twin pregnancy. I still planned to have my singleton there and spoke to a number of people who spoke very highly of it and esp bryony Jones.

Due to some complications we pushed off the official transfer til 36 weeks in case needed inpatient care which could be costly. However my waters broke at 33 week and so I ended up at the local hospital. She was amazing, giving me comfort and advice over the phone and trying to sort things for me before my daughter arrived very quickly in end. She was amazing and didn't even charge me.

I would say her secretary is a bit useless though you need to be on her like a hawk

How are you getting on @kiki93?

Tam2023 · 24/01/2023 13:44

Hi Bells, did you end up going with Queen Charlotte? I am looking at the same option. They do midwife lead delivery which I’m interested in. Thanks so much for your advice

I think you mean yo KiKi. I posted previously saying i had planned to but my baby arrived before i was meant to transfer so didn't. i would say i spoke the staff there when i was in hospital having my daughter and they were wonderful. Dr Jones was especially supportive and caring even though i wasn't even officially her patient yet

Thanks Kiki! Sorry I’m still figuring out mumsnet 😄 I hope you are your daughter are well.

Any feedback on the midwife lead delivery at Queen Charlotte Stanley Claiton Ward would be so appreciated by anyone.

@kiki93 @Tam2023 i delivered recently at QCCH via the private SSC ward. I had consultant led care for ELCS. I cannot speak more highly of the ward or the staff. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The midwives and other nursing staff who look after you in the ward are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. I learned so much from them. Happy to answer any questions.
