Friend has just had twin boy and girl today. She already has 2 boys.

There are no secret twin shopping sites. The best present was food! Also helping hands.

Don't buy her ghastly pale blue and pale putrid pink outfits. I hated those but had no energy to take them back to the shops!

Will link the multi mums to this see if they are more helpful lol!

there is a website called www.twinsthings.co.uk I dont know if its much good for gifts actually for parents of twins but I know I bought my parents china mugs with "Twin Grandad" and "Twin Grandma" on them from there which they loved!!

Agree with mars - nice food, a mum of newborn twins has no time to cook. I had some lovely mums bring me round a cooked meal each day for the first week.

For the twins I'd say something practical. You get through so many muslins, sleepsuits, vests, cardigans, socks with dts. Think easy to put on though, nothing with silly poppers up the back or reassembling proper clothes.

Thanks! I've now bought some cute (but not pastelly!) bandana style bibs for boy and girl.

Food I can also do - I know the ladies in church have been itching to get their casserole pots out desperate for the birth announcement

Want to see them now - 6lbs2 and 6lbs12 - that's enormous for twins surely?

great weights, but often twins aren't particularly small. Mine wre 6lb and 6lb7.

Ditto; boy 6lb8, girl 6lb1

Moss and Vera got given little wooden trains with the letters of their names on the carriages, which was cute and looks great on the shelf in their room until they can be trusted not to gouge their own or each other's eyes out with them. Should be in around 25 years then...
