Hey everyone!

I have been what feels like all over Kent trying to find a double buggy ( the ones that sit on top of each other rather than side to side ) that fits a buggy board for my 2 year old DD.

Most of the prams fit a buggy board but because of the way the bassinets stick out my daughter won't be able to physically stand on it due to no space!

What are my other options? Was any one else in my shoes with the age gaps? What did you do???

Help or your advice would be so very appreciated!

X

We have similar age gap and used a side by side baby jogger city mini and a sling (connecta used as a back carry) for our eldest when they were not walking. A plus point was that the buggy could be used by any of them with minimal adjusting so could have twin in a sling and eldest in the buggy also. Never used a buggy board as thought they looked uncomfortable to push.

Thanks so much for your reply! This is what everyone is telling me about the baby sling maybe that's going to my best option! Was your double buggy the ones with the seats you could recline? So suitable from birth & also suitable for a toddler with out changing around a bassinet & a toddler seat? I will have a look at the pram you mentioned. Thanks again x

Yes, it reclines flat so can use from birth so just needed to sit it up for the eldest. We had the single version for our eldest so got the double as had liked the single. Might be worth getting in touch with a sling library (some do video consultations) as could rent something to try out. There's also a good Twin Sling group on Facebook that could be useful for your twins.

@JC12345 - did you find the reclining seats for new corn was okay?? I suppose what I mean rather than bassinets. Did your car seats attach to your pram if needed? Thanks for your advice regarding the sling I will look in to it xx

They were fine from newborn. We had foot muff in to keep them a bit more cosy but no problems. Never had a bassinet. The car seats don't fit onto it unfortunately but as they can only stay in them for 30 mins to start with we didn't miss that option. I think the mountain buggy double has the option for car seats on it (and is narrow so quite good for twins also).

Britax B Dual fits a buggy board plus two seats (one on top of the other). I think Phil and Ted also do?

Would you consider eBay? You’ll pay a fraction of the cost.

Not sure I've ever seen a pushchair where you could have a buggy board and two bassinets!

We've got the same age gap and a Baby Jogger City Select (it's a tandem, whereas the BJ City Mini is side by side). When the twins were tiny, we either had the toddler and one baby in the pushchair, with the other baby in a sling; or both babies in lie-flat car seats (Kiddy Evo-luna) on the pushchair and the toddler on the buggy board.
