My friend has just given birth to non-iden twin girls 10 wks pre-mature. I only know her & not her husband or family & other friends. I really want to offer my support & welcome the girls arrival - but I realise this is such a tough time for them. I've tried contacting the hospital to find out how they are doing but they can't tell me anything & I have left a message for the parents on their home answer phone. I'm not sure that anyone is at home as the twins were transferred to another hospital some distance away for Special Care. Do I send something to the hospital, home, or wait & what should I send? I'd had an idea of sending some preemie clothes (not sure of their weights though) & maybe a book on preemie babies for the mum, as I know this wasn't something she had planned & therefore would not have any of - what's the general consensus? Many thanks really appreciate your help.
