Identical twins - what week did you deliver?

Hi guys!

I found out this week I am having identical twins. All being well my OB has said we are aiming to do a C Sec at 36 weeks. (My first child was an emergency C sec).

OB has prepared us for an earlier arrival. Would love to know what week other mums to identical twins delivered. I'm not sure what the average delivery week is for identicals and can't seem to find much online. All comments much appreciated Smile

38 weeks. Went into labour the day before my planned section.

Induced at 36 weeks.

39 - planned section.
I reckon they'd have kept on if I'd let them!

Thanks guys that's reassuring. Just found out it's identical twin girls! 3 girls under 2 which I am over the moon about.

Congratulations. My identical girls are 12weeks today and it has been amazing watching them grow. I delivered at 36+4 via planned csection. Loved the whole csection experience.

I was booked in to be induced at 37 weeks but they came of their own accord 5 days earlier at 36 weeks. Wishing you all the best

Congratulations! I believe the current guidance is 36+6 maximum for MCDA twins. Mine came at 35+6 due to a few cord flow issues and slightly worrysome heart rates. They are amazing!! Good luck :)

Can I ask (to totally off subject) you say you will have 3 under 2? How long between c section thanks

mumtobe789 · 06/05/2020 21:25

It would be 22.5 months between c-sections.

29 weeks, had a few problems in pregnancy but they’re fine now at 3

Mumoftwo1994 · 05/06/2020 22:18

I had my girls at 36wks + 3 by c section, was scary and a little painful but they’re almost 4 months old and are happy + healthy
