Horrendous sickness and tiredness in twin pregnancy

Hi all

I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant with twins (TERRIFIED and STILL SHOCKED!) but what I am really battling with rather than give myself a heart attack about a twin pregnancy and coping with a toddler and twins is this horrendous 24/7 nausea and the bone aching exhaustion. I didn't even feel this bad when after getting home from hospital with a new born post c section with my first it is extreme.

Can anyone offer some good advice or tips to get me through? I've just started a new job (timing is awful!) and this is my 4th day calling in sick in 2 weeks. I'm at my wits end. The GP said as I'm not vomiting there is nothing she can do for me.

Villainous have you found taking the supplements makes you feel a bit worse? I've been taking spa tone since Friday and I have to say I feel sicker!

Oh Annie you poor thing! I don't and haven't felt sick, just weak and tired. I've taken about five different types of iron supplement at about double the recommended maintenance dose and have not managed to raise my haemoglobin or ferritin one point in three months. Little vampires seem to be taking it all. I'm sitting at about a quarter of normal levels depending on what range you use. Being assessed for iv iron drip this week.

Oh wow that is intense! I didn't realise it could get that bad. The tiredness is so all consuming isn't it. I hope if you get an IV it helps you. I've got another appointment tomorrow where they will do another scan (im also bleeding on and off a lot they suspect a heamatoma - spelling!) and I guess that's not helping the iron levels! How many weeks are you along?

30w now. Boy and girl and already have DS 2.5yo.
