One heartbeat 2 sacs at 6 week scan

Hello everyone.
I had a 6 week scan last week due to some spotting and having had 3 previous early mc.
Anyway, we saw a bubba with heartbeat and all looks good with this one, but there is also another sac, empty at the moment.
I have another scan booked for 2 weeks time but just wondering if anyone has any experience of this?
Is this likely to develop into a twin pregnancy or more likely that the empty sac will be absorbed?

I dunno but bumping for you. Did no one advise you about what the seemingly empty sac meant?

The sonographer said it could go either way, she said it could be that the second one implanted later than the first or it was a vanishing twin.
I was wondering if anyone else had the same.

Following IVF treatment I had a scan at 6 weeks where one heartbeat was detected but no detectable heartbeat in the second sac. Rescan at 8 weeks showed 2 sacs and 2 heartbeats.

Context - this was nearly 16 years ago and both scans were trans vaginal.

Yes I went for a dating scan because I had had one really light period as my last before poas. We thought I was 10wks but the scanning showed them to be much smaller, about 6 wks. There were 2, i dont remember if they had heartbeats or not. I went back the next week there was only one. I had no bleeding to suggest a mc. When I gave birth the mw told me I had a b placenta - an extra one that was very small.

Thanks for your experiences, I was surprised to hear that there may be two when I go back in a fortnight but I guess it does happen.
We will be more than happy just to have one healthy baby, a second would be a miracle.
