Having told my friend how knowledgeable you lot are, she asked me to post this message for her:

Hi there, I'm Natasha, mum to DD1 (3), and DD2 & DD3 (Non ID girls) - born 8th July 2003.
I have a question for you knowledgable ladies about car seats
... what do you reckon are the NARROWEST seats, the ones you use from 9 months onwards?
I'll need the 3 seats to fit across our back seats (car is a Peugot 406 Estate).

Thanks,

we have britax eclispe (I think) and 3 fit across the back of our mazda premacy - sorry not much help !

Try asking on www.twinsclub.co.uk forums - bound to get an answer there.

graco booster seat with back, for older child (have just got one, very narrow)

britax freeway for 9mth+ is quite narrow.

we also have a small car and can fit these 2 seats and an adult in the back.

britax seats are supposedly narrowest

Would go with the Graco for the older child and freeway for little ones (although it doesn't recline after you have straped it in) we have peugot 406 and the britax fit finder say that it has to be in the first recline or sleep mode for a correct fit HTH

Has anyone see these multiway seats. Very expensive but might solve the problem. But how safe are they? Maybe car designers need to take note and cater more for 3 children families! www.multimac.co.uk

We had 3 Britax Eclipse across the back of our Zafira-at the time it was the only one that was thin enough, can be used on a lapbelt too.
