I am 30 weeks preg with twins and am feeling really tired and fed up. I am also feeling quite uncertain about when it is all going to happen etc so wondered when any other twin mothers out there went into labour.

Well, mine went to 41 wks + 4 days... They were my first p/g though. My mate with twins had them at 34 wks and I believe the average "term for twins" is approx 37wks. Don't know if this helps at all.

Pop, Unless nature intervenes it is best if twin pregnancies go to at least 37 weeks. Twins tend to be smaller ofcourse and if you deliver prior to that there is a greater chance they will end up in the special care baby nursery. Babies born earlier than 35 weeks usually need assistance with their btreathing so all in all, despite discomfort, your twins are best kept where they are for as long as possible. B reassured - not many go as long as scummymummy

Just thinking about you feeling tired and fed up. Part of it may be that you are carrying twins and the rest is because you are feeling tired and fed up because you can and do, partic in the last trimester.

I'm a couple of weeks behind you with my second and can't remember when I wasn't pg with this one.

I had mine at 37 weeks 6 and a half pounds and five and a half pounds. sit tight and remember resting is growing those babies!

I was induced almost 39 weeks, had 2 x 7llb babes. So really the longer the better, I think at the end it's something like babies gain an 1oz a day. Just try and take life easy - I horrible indegestion at the end and practically slept upright!! But hold on in there girl.

mine were 38 weeks + 1 by my dates, 39 by hospital dates (I am absolutely positive mine was correct tho'!) Weighed 6, 3oz and 6lb, 8oz. Just keep going! It'll all be worthwhile when you've two little treasures in that plastic cot!

Mine came out at thirty weeks (I had something called twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome - they first tried to make an appearance at 25 weeks) and spent 5 weeks in special care. All I can say is better in than out at least until 35 weeks. Take it easy.

I gave birth to my twins at 39 weeks. I found the nights most difficult. A good tip is to buy the 'V shape' pillow available from Argos to put between your legs at night and it was excellent afterwards for breast feeding. The longer you can go the bigger the babies will be so hang in there. It is more tiring when the eventually appear!!
