Numb skin on tummy?

Since having my twins last week I have lost the sensation in large portions of my tummy! It feels very odd!

Has anyone else had any experience of this? Will it come back or am I going to have a belly I can't feel for the rest of my days?

Did you have a c-section?
Or lots and lots of stretch marks?

Either could disrupt skin nerves and cause sensation to go a bit weird.
It can take months and months to change.

Fwiw, I had numb skin around my CS scar for the best part of a year; it now feels quite normal again.

Congratulations btw! Thanks To the power of 2 Grin

Thank you! Grin

Yes, I ended up having an EMCS after a 4 day induction that failed to progress.
I'd not even thought if night be to do with that but it makes sense now you've said it!

Hmm....I have just had a look in a full length mirror for the first time in 3 days and I appear to have sprouted a lump now too...could it be a hernia?! Confused

The lump could be scar tissue. I've now had two sections, and definitely had numbness after the first. I've not really investigated it yet this time, just leaving that area alone for a little while.
