How to fit 3 car seats in the back?

I've just realised that we won't be able to fit the 2 maxi cosis for the twins as well as dd's car seat in the back row of our car! Dd is only 3 so don't want to move her to a high back booster yet. She is still in a group 1 car seat.

Anyone know of a narrow (30cm wide) group 1 seat? Or is it ok to put her on the front passenger seat? ( not a big fan of that to be honest and still will be a bit of a problem when we all go out on the weekends with dh too).
Or shall i put one baby in front with airbag off?

Can't afford to buy a new car right now....

We're in a similar situation. Expecting twins on Thursday (!) and have a 2.5 year old.

Our plan is to put one baby in the front with airbag off. When we want to go somewhere as a family I'll squeeze between the 2 seats in the back. We're not planning on going anywhere far for the first few months so hopefully this arrangement will work for a while.

We also considered the multimac car seat but haven't had much feedback relating to this and it's expensive but an option if our current plan doesn't work.

Thank you Abird. I was also thinking of squeezing in in the back for once a week (if that!). As you said, we won't go far anyways for the first few months, and i'm hoping it won't be too cold so we can walk more over the weekends.

I know what you mean... We've just ordered everything we need which has alleviated some of my anxieties but it won't feel real until they're here...

They'll be 35 +4 when they're born. I'm expecting identical twins which is why they're being born early. My body definitely feels like it's run out of space for them.

I've had almost 4 weeks off work which has been great, feel rested enough to deal with the chaotic onslaught!

Hi - I'm going through the same drama! I'm just wondering if you found anything in the end? I have literally spent days on this and the only narrow seat we could find was a the Graco Logic L which fit with 2 pebbles. However got it home and researched it further and it had a don't buy from Which so we took it straight back. Also DS will only be 3 (by a week or so if they get to 36 weeks) so he really is ok young for a stage 2 hbb - most are from 4 and I've been told this is based on next muscle development. The only thing left to us is the Multimac BUT you obvs can't put the car seats in the pram with this..... Does anyone find that a massive problem - let sleeping babies sleep and all that.... It's Multimac or a new car so whilst expensive it's a cheaper option and our car is only 2 years old so it seems nuts! Any advice so gratefully received

We ended up buying two cabriofixes which fit either side of a britax stage 1 in the middle. No idea how this is going to work on a practical level as twins aren't here yet but we can get all 3 in and doors closed!

Hi its a britax first class plus 0-1 stage in the middle with the two cabriofixes either side.
We have a 2014 Nissan note, so not huge but still fairly roomy.
I would pop to mothercare and try a few, they were really good and let us try seats and prams to make sure they all fit in the car.

Britax dual fix was the narrowest I found when I was having car seat conundrums.
