3 year old twins and birthday presents

It's my girls' 3rd birthday in a little while and DM wants to get them a dolls' house. Do we go for the amazing big one between both of them, or get two separate little ones and avoid having to referee the millions of turf wars between them? What do you think?

I don't have twins, but have 2 close together (18 month gap) and I think either option will work, providing they are getting some non-shared presents too. However, 2 smaller houses might be nice as the dolls can visit each other!

I would get one big dolls house. Over the next few years you will get a lot of "big toys" and this will save on space! My DT like playing with each other. Could you get some car or a bus so the dolls could go out and they can play both inside and outside of the house?

Mine have one big one and happily play together (mostly).

Mine had joint one, they played together as well.

One big dolls house but two sets of people. Divide the furniture into rooms and give half to each girl. They can share the furniture but have their own family to play with. If that makes sense.

Right, one big one ordered. Thanks for all input. I daresay there will be a couple of days of strife and then they will work out a truce Grin
