The most important thing you can provide ur sil is your time, leave everyone else to buy fancy gadgets but what I would have liked ( twins now 10)
. Someone to pop around on the odd afternoon for a couple of hours so that I could actually get some sleep in the first 6 weeks
. Someone to offer a hand with stuffing the washing machine, folding clothes etc, twins go through so much.
. A shoulder to cry on because with all the hormones about there will be plenty of tears and no sleep to help cope with them.
. Cake and chocolate are vital esp if she decides to feed herself. The weight will fall off her and she will be able to eat what she wants.

If you need to buy something make it a single buggy for when they start walking. A double buggy is awful if you're short like me. As soon as I could they took turns in being grown up and helping mum push their sibling!

The op says her sister lives in Asia so I don't think the op carrying the shopping is going to work...

I'm only six months into the twin experience, but the most invaluable items so far have been my Out N About Nipper and the Harmony Duo twin feeding cushion. Also a baby gym and a variety of other things to rotate them through (don't need two of things if you've got a few choices) - at the moment, we've got a bouncer seat, a swing, a bumbo, and two jumperoos.

Baby Bjorn bouncers, they were my life savers! I had one from DS arrival, so happily bought another.

Morrck cat seat hooded wraps, again save a small fortune in buying pointless coats in first 6 months.

If you are close by the help! Meals, helping & taking photos twin life can be a real blur :)
