Did your breech baby turn after 29 weeks?

Had another scan today and lowest twin is still bottom down. Did any of you have the same situation but they turned before D-day? Really want to avoid a c-section as have two other children already at home (youngest only 18 months). Thanks.

Yes, one was breech and one was transverse up until 32 weeks and both turned head down. Twin 2 then flipped back round once twin 1 had been born but that's a whole different issue Grin

That's reassuring to hear diamonds, we'll, apart from the flipping back part! Dare I ask what happened then?

mine have been breech and transverse too, scanned today and both head down, 28+2 Smile

Haha! Yeah, of course. My ds was born without major complications but my dd obviously then loved the space so moved to breech. The midwife then 'held' her in place with her hands on my stomach to stop her from moving to transverse which would have definitely resulted in an emergency c-section.
My contractions then stopped which was a side issue to the breech situation so they took me to theatre but I was able to give birth to her breech which was a relief to avoid the c-section. Was a slightly different experience between the two of them as ds was born with just 2 midwifes in the room and dd was born with about 12 medical staff there but all was well in the end. Feel free to ask any other questions and the best of luck with your birth. x

Thanks, guess I'll just have to see nearer the time as the hospital said they won't even entertain the idea of me giving birth vaginally if twin 1 is breech.

Mine didn't turn and I ended up with a emcs.

Good luck!

I'm 36 weeks and at 28 they were both head down. Then at 32 one had gone up and out at the side. Now that one has head right at the top and is flexed breech. Having cs anyway so not a problem.
Good luck!

Not breach or twins but both my transverse babies turned about 35 weeks (both almost were c sections due to position). It did make me really sick but they did turn. Not sure whether twins would have enough room though.

Yeah, consultant seems to think bottom twin has a reasonable chance of turning before 32 weeks but not much chance after that due to lack of space. Here's hoping! X

Mine kept changing position right up until 37 weeks. They were both breech at my 35 week scan so was booked for a section. When they delivered, they discovered that t2 had turned again at some point (boy did I feel it!). T1 was still breech so it didn't make any difference to delivery.

Not what you asked for but a different senario; Highest twin was breech throughout pregnancy but didn't matter anyway as was I was in for a ELCS (MCMA) but ended up having a vaginally biryh at 37 weeks. Both healthy.

I hope your twin turns for you though. There's a few exercises online that are supposed to help turn baby. No sure if it works on a twin though :)
