AIBU to have left supermarket in tears without even getting out of car

DTs unmanageable today. They are 3m now and are irritable today for some reason.
Took them out in car knowing a feed would be due in next 2hrs, but couldn't cope with any more screaming in the house. Rainy outside so went to local mega supermarket with covered parking. No child seat trolleys to be seen by the parent spaces, or anywhere. Drove off tearfully. Went to drive thru McDonald's for a deli wrap as was starving. Ate it to tune of more screaming and had to come home as I can't manage to feed two when I'm out alone :(

Big hug. Can you go and do a shop when DP gets home so you get some time on your own?

Oh you poor thing, its really hard when there is lots of crying.

I hope you have some support locally so you can have a bit of a break, or a DH who is not going to be working late.

Sounds like a rubbish day, I hope tomorrow's better for you all. It's all more extreme with twins, mine are nearly 7 months now and it's definitely got easier.

Oh god sounds awful. I had quite a few of these in the early days. I remember one morning, they were both crying, I didn't know why so I just laid on the mat and cried with them! Starts to get better after 6 months I would say

Some days are really tough. With babies, there's much potential for a bad day but a bad day with twins can feel more than doubly worse!

On the plus side, at least you made it out of the house . Even if it didn't go to plan, at least you were looking at different walls while you listened to the screaming. Somedays, that's the best we can hope for .

For future ref, I find standing next to a P&C child space with all the doors open to radiate the sound of crying and BELLOWING (politely) for help from the nearest member of staff works.

I remember shouting this is ridiculous, I can't do this anymore when they were both screaming their heads off. I also had my ds4 whining.
I rang my mum to check she was in and drove to her house and all was calm once more.

It gets better I promise. big hug for now and reassurance that before long your house will be filled with giggles more than crying xx

I've done this too. I have also parked by the trolley rank and asked the trolley man to get me a twin trolley whilst i park the the car in the p/c space miles away from the trolleys and could he kindly deliver it to my parked car. I also spoke to the manager at out asda as they only had 3 twin toddler trolleys and loads of the ones witht he scoops or the rack for a single car seat.

Lack of twin trolleys, or rather the many twin trolleys they did have being stuck in the middle of a humongous line of normal trolleys was a favorite stress point of mine. I totally feel your pain. (Getting cross now remembering!!)

These days it's a little easier as DTs can walk across the carpark with me and stay put while I disentangle said trolley.
