Has anyone seen this in the news www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-22746654 this lovely lady has just had her 3rd set of twins!

She already has 2 sets of boys aged 12 and 14 and now has 2 gorgeous girls.

I am convinced that if we ever try again (twin girls aged 2.5 already) we would end up with triplets!

Just wondering if she's on here too Wink if you are Congratulations Thanks

I know there are a couple of mums on here with 2 sets of twins, but 3 wow!

Hadn't seen the story but agree, wow!

MultipleMama · 03/06/2013 22:27

I'm having my 2nd set, I'd probably cry if I had a 3rd set. Just wow!

harrygracejessica · 04/06/2013 19:55

The only reason I would want more is to see if its twins again lol. Got 2 sets already :-)

ladythatlunches · 04/06/2013 20:48

Wow at having 2 sets amazing. Expecially that they are all little.

The lady with 3 may find it not so challenging as the other sets are older but still wow. It's amazing what our bodies can do :)

MultipleMama · 04/06/2013 21:19

harrygracejessica Same here! My first set were MoMo, 2nd set are fraternal... Maybe in 8-10 years I'll see if I chance another set haha.

harrygracejessica · 05/06/2013 20:28

First set were identical girls (2 sacs, 2 placentas so can never remember) and then non identical boys but funnily enough 2 sacs and 2 placentas again lol

cathpip · 05/06/2013 20:34

My grandmas 6 brothers and sisters were all non identical twins, funnily enough they stopped after the third set:)

MultipleMama · 05/06/2013 20:58

This time round there's 2 sacs, 2 placentas. I'm hoping for at least another girl, poor dd is feeling outnumbered haha.

rednellie · 07/06/2013 16:35

What's it like having two sets of twins? And what are the age gaps?

I've got a 3 yr old DD and 15 month old non id boys. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if we had another, would it be two?

PattieOfurniture · 07/06/2013 16:41

I know one person with two sets of twins, but with a massive age gap, about 20 years.
3 sets is amazing! Wow

MultipleMama · 07/06/2013 19:40

My oldest twins will be 9mo on Wednesday, and I'm currently 14+3 with my 2nd set. So, I won't know until it happens!

So I'd like to hear people's experience with 2 sets :)

harrygracejessica · 08/06/2013 22:13

My eldest twins were 2 when the 2nd lot arrived and my singleton had just turned 4. Not going to lie, it's been hard work but added into it one of the little twins has uncontrolled epilepsy so we deal with a lot if seizures, hospital appointments, A&E visits and just dealing with his temper is hard work!!

They are now 6, almost 5 twins and 2 year old twins and I found it a lot easier once the bottle feeding stopped etc :-)

AprilFoolishness · 08/06/2013 22:16

Huge huge respect. One set has pushed dh and I about as far as we'd like tbh, mainly due to the constant sleep deprivation and the stress of logistics.
Was it easier the second time round because you knew all the 'twin tricks'?

5madthings · 08/06/2013 22:19

My great grandma had three sets of twins and three singletons, so nine altogether!

I haven't had twins but was scanned carefully as they said I was at higher risk of having twins. But I donated eggs and the lady who got my eggs had twin boys :)

MultipleMama · 08/06/2013 22:20

I'm excited but completely prepared that it's going to be hard work, but great to see it is doable and survive to live the tale haha!

Hope your LO is doing good with his Epilepsy, and huge respect for you :)

rednellie · 09/06/2013 08:19

harrykatejessica you sound very in control and happy! Poor lo having that to deal with. One of my twins has loads of allergies and it does add a while layer of stress.

Good luck MultipleMama! I'm sure you'll do great

RedPencils · 09/06/2013 08:24

Omg! One lot nearly killed me. Shock
I would have liked one more but the thought that it could have been two or maybe three more put me off.

RedCurls · 09/06/2013 08:39

I know a lady with two sets of twins, a set of triplets and a single baby. 3 pregnancies & 8 babies!

harrygracejessica · 09/06/2013 10:09

The little tricks with twins was definitely easier 2nd time but the boys have been a lot harder work - totally different than the girls - don't like sleep, silent reflux and now the epilepsy. Have to say the one thing to keep me sane was a decent buggy to chuck them all on and get outside for fresh air!!

MousyMouse · 09/06/2013 10:12

I knew a woman who had 3 sets of twins in less than three years.
she had some kind of hormonal imbalance which is why more than one egg is released when ovulating.
