Any advice on a blighted twin?

I am about 8 weeks pg.

I had a scan on tuesday which revealed a healthy pregnancy and a blighted twin. The twin does not appear to be healthy. The sac has collapsed and no heartbeat seen. I have had several shows of brown stringy d/c and have slight tummy pain.
Has anyone been thru this...
I am trying to find out what to expect in the next few days/weeks?

Everything has subsided now appart from early pg symptoms.
I don't have a midwife, I have never needed one.

Thanks for answering the post. Smile

A friend of mine had this - she is now mum to one lovely boy!

oinker, I am very sorry to hear this
I have been through this twice (BT Syndrome Sad), and each time went on to have a healthy baby.
I carried on bleeding/cramping for a few weeks both times. I also passed the sac.
it is a very worrying time and sending love
try to rest and take care of yourself.

Oinker, whereabouts are you (interested because you said that you don't have a midwife)?

Wishing all the very best for the baby.

I am in London and under the recurrent m/c clinic at Queen Charlottes.
