A whinge about toddlers and tantrums

dt's are 29 months. Most days are a challenge, to the point where I really think I am letting them down by not enjoying them enough.
yesterday we went to a play group, we had a lovely time until we had to tidy up for snack, dt1 was quite put out by this and threw himself to the floor screaming no no no.
Took my eyes of dt2 to try to distract / reason with dt1 to find he had climbed up on the cloak trolley and was trying to press the fire alarm button Shock
Managed to get to him in time but he was then upset because he could not press the button. So joined his brother in rolling around on the floor crying.
Everyone else's dc were sitting calmly at the table waiting for a snack.

I have had a couple of really crappy days, full of whinges, tantrums and demands.

Anyone want to join me in tales of toddler woe ?
sorry about the typos, I have got a new ipad and I am a technotwat so don't know how tomusenit.

Thank crist mine are to old for toddler terrors, they are now door slamming, feet stomping tweenies.

I've had a few times in the years when every one else's DC sit all perfect and lovely looking whilst mine are rolling on the floor screaming "I waaaant a craaaayyyooonnnn"

I think the main majority of mums will look on and think thank Christ it's not mine kicking off today.

Yes when ever I see someone else's dc kicking off I do tend to think phew it's not my turn today.

They have been lovely all weekend, I even took one dt christmas shopping Saturday and he was really well behaved, it's just at playgroups they seem to really kick off.

We are to brave it again tomorrow, fingers crossed it won't end in tears.

I can't help except to say whenever I see a child at playgroup having a tantrum I thank whoever its not my turn. If I can I get the Mum a cup of tea.

Glad you had a nice weekend to balance it out a bit.

Grin Thanks DW.

Had a lovely chat with other parents at a group today about other people's dc seem so well behaved, I am really trying not to panic so much about it all now.
