Butterfly I'm not really coping...but I've had some great advice on the pregnancy board on ideas of how manage a little better.
Hi Shay, how far along are you?
Err not in a position to give advice yet, but I have just been on the phone to Home Start and they are sending someone out to visit, with a view to having someone pop in a couple of times a week to be an extra pair of hands.
They provide help to multiple birth familys, and I was a little bit worried about contacting them, thinking as both DH and myself work so don't get any benefits but they were great on the phone and said its about support, not means tested or for families in crises.
I realised that with a toddler and 2 x newborn I'm going to need some help especially as I'm finding it hard already!
Other avenues I'm going to explore further are the local college for Nursery/Nanny students who need placements, again they can place someone with you for work experience a term at a time if you have twins. They cant be left alone with the babies but you can pop for a shower, make a brew, or grab some lunch whilst there is a spare pair of hands in the house!
Unfortunately Fortunately my family all work, so no support there except for my Mum and she had a stroke whilst I was pregnant with DD, so whilst she would be great not practical.
DH is Dutch, and whilst very willing his family are all in the Netherlands, so any help means they need to stay here which brings all sorts of other issues! ( Don't want SIL here whilst I've got leaky boobs, bleeding all over the place, hormonal as hell, tryinging to establish breastfeeding and still feeling like I should be hospitable etc etc etc) And it would only be short term help anyway, for a few weeks or so.
Sorry I've waffled on again!
