Whats the gender of your ID Twins?

I'm pregnant with MCDA (identical) twins, only 10 weeks so can't tell gender yet but I've read on Dr. Google that b/b identical twins are the rarest form. Apparently identical twins are more likely to be g/g. I can't find any statistics of figures to back this up so wondered if I could get a straw poll from the lovely mn'ers!

My DH already has a DD and DS and together we have a DD so if he were honest I think he would prefer the twins to be boys otherwise he'll have 4 dds! But he really won't mind I'm sure - i'm just curious to see if this trend is true?

I have also heard that g/g is most common - but my ID twins are boys!

I have girls. There were far more girl sets than boy sets at the Twins Group I went to when mine were little. Only one set of ID boys IRRC, but lots of girls. My DTDs have two sets of ID girl friends the same age as them, which is lovely for them.

For single babies, 51% are boys and 49% girls, so really it should be BB ident twins that are slightly more common........

Well I had my 20 week scan this week and found out they are girls! We'll have a three girl family! Really thrilled, it should be fun!! Just hope dd1 doesn't feel left out as they grow up

Maybe it is similar to boys have greater mortality from conception on I think.

24wks with ID girls... One daughter of my own and two step daughters. So I totally get the scenario of your hubby wanting boys. My husband has come around to it now thankfully, so long as they're happy and healthy thats all that matters :) Congratulations!!
