Hello! Have you had your babies yet? If not, don't google photographs of women's stomaches post birth. I did it and it terrrified me. I had triplets at the beginning of the year. My stomach is still a bit bigger than it was and I have a tiny bit of wrinkly skin near my c-section scar but on the whole it is so much better than I ever imagined it would be!

(Before babies I was a size 12, in the last weeks of my pregnancy the only trousers that would fit were size 20- 22 jogging bottoms, I am now a size 14).

Hi no. I'm 12 wks pg. Had dd four and a half years ago and it left me with a bit of a mummy tummy baggy skin tummy. Not terrible, but nothing as good as it was before. Got strechmarks too so don't think I have the most elastic skin possible

My message should probably have said my stomach is bigger, rather than a bit bigger but it is truly much better than I thought it would be. Am sure yours will be too.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Hope you are feeling ok.

From my twinsclub and friends with twins, I know of two who could get away with a bikini but the rest would describe themselves as having 'twinskin'. I remember reading a book and seeing a picture of this 'twinskin' is and being horrified! I guess it depends if they are early and how big you are to start with and genetics. It is all worth it though and things get better after a couple of years and tighten up again.

sorry if this really depresses you but my tummy muscles have never knitted back together again like they should, was soooo big though, went to 38 weeks and had natural birth, was told i would need physio but i was so busy with my boys after they were born that the least of my worries was stomach muscles!! boys are now 2 years old and things are easier now so am going to get to a gym in the new year and see if i can still do anything about it :)

I had my twins 16weeks ago and it's not too bad. I've gone up to a size 16 (can squeeze into 14 jeans but not comfy for sitting), and I was a 12 before. My weight is now on my tummy and thighs so after Christmas I am starting Slimming World.

I had stretch marks after dd1 and actually got less this time but they're higher up as dd1 was very low. They're even already fading. My skin isn't wrinkly at all - might be once I lose the weight I guess. But it really isn't too bad - my problem is a lack of clothes that fit and my refusal to buy a new wardrobe as I won't accept this body permenently.

My tummy muscles didn't split and I had dtds at 36.5w by cs.

Well I'm still hoping but it has been 9 years so might be being a bit optimistic. The weight went but sadly there has been a roll of skin ever since - I do confess that I never did tummy exercises which might have helped.

I think it depends on what size you were pre pregnancy and whether you have "good" genes.
I smothered myself in bio oil and am back to my pre pregnancy figure and was by 6 months I would say. The only place I have stretchmarks is on my inner thighs as I didn't think to put any oil there Confused
I did the 30 day shred too as I think you do need to exercise and not just diet if you want to tone up. Try and keep as active as you can in pregnancy, I am probably a bit nutty but when the girls were small I would do squats whilst trying to get them to sleep Grin

I was absolutely mahoosive, delivering my twins at a day shy of 37 weeks 11 months ago. I'd been dreading the aftermath body wise and yes, my body was a shocker just after the birth and I was still nearly 14 stone 3 months after. That's when I decided to spring into action and started weightwatchers and regular exercise (my gym has a free creche!). I lost was back to the weight I was before 3 months later and am now a good size smaller than I was before I got pregnant. HOWEVER. Although the rest of me seems to have firmed up my stomach is still really big and I have twin skin. I have started doing loads of abdominal exercises but it seems to be a long process. It's still pretty fat but i look so much better than I thought I would after twins. I think it's a long slow process but I think the tummy will eventually go down with work. Not sure about the twin skin though.
