Holiday with 11 month old twins! Are we mad?!

Has anyone been away with 11 month old twins?
My DH has finally agreed to a few days away with our 11 month old twins and 3 year old DS. Any suggestions? I need to book this very quickly before he changes his mind!!
I'm thinking possibly a forest lodge but not sure if sensible with 3 little ones? Or a cottage. Some cottage websites don't even have an option to select 2 infants or 2 cots and the places recommended on twin sites all seem very expensive!
We live in N Yorks and don't want to travel more than 3 or 4 hours.
Would be very grateful for any help!

I went to Torquay, hours drive and Lllandudno, 5 hours drive, with mine. Never enough high chairs but always managable. Waverly Hotel Llandudno, very nice. They all enjoyed running up and down the beach areas and there was an aquarium at Rhyll.

The hotel was warned in advance and got us enough cots. there's an 18mnth gap between them and their older sibling.

Now I just top and tail them in a single bed

Hi there. No you're not mad. We went away to the peak district when the twins were about that age - can you take an additional travel cot & high chair if cottages only cater for one baby? We booked with Sykes cottages I think and spoke directly to the owner before we went to check out exactly what was there.

we just had a holiday with a 3yo and (crawling, cruising, climbing, suicidal adventurous) 9mo twins. we took our own travel cots, used one highchair (came with the property) and the other baby sat on my lap. it was hard work because where we stayed wasn't really designed for small children (self catering cottage with stone floors, steps everywhere and no stairgates) but totally worth it. enjoy!

We did a self-catering cottage in wiltshire for a week when the boys were that age & it was fine. Even at confirmation stage, we still only had 1 baby on paperwork. We queried but they said if they put an extra person on, some people might take an extra older child person or something.&it would have taken us over the official number allowed in the property. The owner had given permission tho and we even got a phone call as we were driving down to check we didn't need extra cots / high chairs. We are v relaxed about sleeping arrangements and just sleep with the boys when away, or take the air bed.

Had similar fun booking Centreparc for next Feb for us all and new baby (3 under 2). People seem to be surprised, but v accommodating! I'm just accepting it while it lasts and while it's free.

We had a cottage break about that age. We went for one of a cluster of cottages in the end and were able to use the travel cots and high chairs from one of the other cottages as well. It worked really well.

Somewhere like Centreparcs would be good - I think that'll be our plan next year as dd will be 4 and dtds will be about 10months.

We drove to the S of France and back with 11 month old twins and it was fine. You just can't expect to progress very fast (nappy stops, feeding stops, etc.) and it took three days each way. You also need a big car (2 x travel cots, double buggy, usual baby stuff etc.) and babies who like Continental driving holidays.

Stayed in a lovely forest lodge. Even though we had requested 2 cots and 2 highchairs they were nowhere to be seen on arrival, quickly sorted though.
Is it so hard to believe someone could have 2 babies
It was actually me who caused all the problems by eating something I was allergic to!!
The babies were great. No cooking, very little cleaning and DHs extra pair of hands 24/7. fab!
Can't wait to go away again.
