Hi I am wndering if anyone has done the GF routine with twins.... I know some people HATE what she says and dnt believ in a lot of what she says but Ive been reading her book (said i wouldnt before they came along..but am DESPERATE for some sort of life back)...

It seems i cant leave the room without the boys grizzling, looking at me to entertain them (Which I do), but cant get anything else done !!! I know there isnt anything wrong with them as the second I pick them up or hold them they IMMEDIATLY stop grizzling/ crying.... They are 11 weeks at the moment, and Id lOVE to be in some sort of routine by their 4th month. (they were born a month early so am looking at the 6-8 week routine for them, if anyone has any other suggestions..I have also looked at the baby whisperer.... And I quite like this also.....

any advice....??

Just read this thread and would like to comment; hippy3 i think you are doing really well by the sounds of it, your babies being so little. I totally agree though, you need to start the routine as early as you can, and although GF is a tough act to follow, it really does help with keeping the household routine. I ignored some of the things she did, like dressing them immediantly in the morning etc, but as a rule tried to keep feeding times the same every day and naps roughly the same too. As for putting them in own room...we put our girls in their own room at 3 months!! As the bedrooms were only a footstep away anyway, we felt confident with the baby monitor being on, and a much better nights sleep was had by all. I just couldnt relax with the snuffling, hiccuping etc from two babiesGrin. What im trying to say, is go with your instincts, and perservere as it will pay off i promise. Some people thought i was quite rigid at times, but until you have twins you cant know how hectic it can get if you dont have some form of routine. Good luck x
