Pinpointing movement to one twin or the other?

Hi

I?m 23 weeks pregnant with non-id twins. There?s plenty of movement going on. But how can I tell if I?m feeling both twins move? All of my movement is confined to one area (low down just about my bikini line). It seems so confined to a single area I'm worried that only one twin is moving.

Thanks

It's difficult but depends how they are laying!! My last twins one was head down and one transverse so was hard to tell who was who, this time both are head down one on right side and one on left so I know exactly who is who and it's been like that since about 20 4 weeks and I'm now 33.

I never could figure it out. In my case twin 1 was breach and twin 2 transverse/head down/somersaulting all over the place. I did get worried once so went along to the hospital to get checked out, and during the scan twin two was moving all over but I couldn't feel him - they think maybe he was really cushioned by a front placenta. If you are worried, then phone the hospital and ask someone. Or at your next appointment ask if they can give you some tips to help figure out who is creating which movement.

I couldn't figure it out either. I had a lot of movement around my belly button. Twin 1 was vertex and twin 2 mostly frank breech. I kind of figured it was a lot of legs in the middle.

I felt better once we got into regular scans, at 24 weeks if I remember right. When's your next scan?

Thanks. Ok, I feel better that it's not just me! Grin

My 24 week scan is next week so I'll ask them about it too.

Any idea at what point their position becomes more fixed/final? I'm guessing with 2 there's increasingly little room in there so flipping between positions might get more difficult? Or am I kidding myself?!

Twin 1 stayed vertex from 24 weeks on, he didn't shift much. Twin 2 was transeverse and then shift a little to frank breech maybe 28 weeks, I can't remember exactly and then she stayed put. They really didn't have much room to move, Twin 1 was over 9lb at birth.

One of mine was head down from 20 weeks, had 32 week scan still head down, prem labour at 33 weeks and she had flipped to a cross legged breech. Think they are still able to move up until 34/35 weeks
