Triplet mums/ 3 very close in age

Hi, I currently have a DS (2.9) and 6m old ID twin daughters and I'm pregnant, due close to their first birthday. I was wondering how anyone had found having 3 very close in age?

Any triple pushchair recommendations? 6 seater cars which take 4 carseats? Also, has anyone had two children in the same school year who aren't twins? If bump is early (DS was born at 37 weeks and DDs at 36) the all three could be in the same year at school...

Thanks :)

Peg Perego Triplette if you can get hold of one. They do car seats that fit in too. It does depend on your budget though. here

TheVisitor, compared to a shopping trolley how long is the peg triplette?

We could afford it, just I think, DH is just finishing up as a registrar and about to be a full blown GP so we don't have loads of money but we are relatively comfortable.

Thank You :)

Similar. They're a really lovely pushchair, and the choice of many triplet mums in the states. I wanted one when my triplets were little, but couldn't afford it and looked upon my friend's with great envy. lol. She sold hers on for a good price too. They have good suspension, so you don't end up with neck muscles like Arnie and are comfortable to push. Enough space for the kids and you can have the baby car seat attached on.

Thank You, I have bookmarked that page and will show DH when he gets in from work, possibly after I've cooked him tea and got him a beer... His dreams of a sports car have been put on hold for at least 20 years now!

LOL!!!! Imagine my poor husband's face when presented with triplets on the screen. Grin

I can only imagine! DH's was a picture a when the sonographer told him it was twins and then when I sheepishly came out of the bathroom pregnancy test in hand...

My toddler is 20 months older than my 12 week old twins and I nearly went crackers obsessing about prams! We got the iCandy pear so that the twins' maxi cosi car seats could go straight on, but my toddler refuses to walk any distance so I've also got the ABC Adventure double with reclining toddler seat and it's fantastic. Easily the best thing we've bought. It's huge but big enough to take everyone out in comfort. My v tall toddler can sleep full stretch in the seat and loves being high up, near me. I got it from someone on the TAMBA website.

Cars - I changed mine to the c4 grand Picasso as it has 3 isofix points across the middle row and a huge boot (for the huge pram) or 2 extra seats, which fold away.

Congratulations!

I had the Valco Twin Runabout with the toddler seat. makes you very visible and people will talk about spaceship etc. but they will probably stop and chat anyway what with 3 small kids and it is great to get 3 kids out at the same time. and you can turn it around its own axis with one finger.

Can't help with the car.

My DS is friends with a little boy whose sister is 10 months younger than him, and their brother 10 months younger again - so 20 months between the 3 of them. Their mum had a mountain buggy triple which was amazingly easy to push and lasted forever - my huge 4 year old was in it on fireworks night. She has a VW Caravelle which she loves as it is so easy to get the children in and out, and plenty of room for all the stuff

I had a DS then twins 15 months later (now pregnant with more twins!) and we have the ABC everest for a buggy and it's fab as means inhace independance and for a car we have a galaxy which we are now going to fill so having to look at 9 seaters!!!
