Afternoon ladies. This morning, I managed to fasten my jeans without having to breathe in. This is a big achievement! Makes me happy. Grin

Nope, no dieting as such! I was just consuming far too much wine, which is chock full of empty calories. Grin Thanks. Grin

chopstheduck · 21/06/2011 17:11

Afternoon ladies how are you all?

Prob my first post in a year or so, what've I missed? Grin

triplets · 21/06/2011 21:55

:):):):):)CHOPS welcome back, where the dickens have you been:):):):):)?

shabbapinkfrog · 21/06/2011 22:59

Hiya Chops Grin

One major thing you missed was mine and Trips 'virtual' weeks holiday at the Venezia in Faliraki, Rhodes. Oh there was much twirling of tassels, eating of good food and vast quantities of alcohol quaffed.....I think there may have been some rudities going on with me and Nikos (the beautiful one) but its all a bit of a haze......

shabbapinkfrog · 22/06/2011 06:44

Morning girls xx

Mabelface · 22/06/2011 11:23

Morning. Am having a flat day today, so haven't planned to do anything.

chopstheduck · 22/06/2011 11:34

How did I miss that?!!!

I been abducted by Real Life unfortunately! dd and ds1 had birthdays this week (11 and 9 now!!) and the dts are now 6.

It's full on just keeping up with them! dd is off to secondary school in Sept. Went for the interview this week, all seems very strange and poor girl is very nervous! The school looks lovely though, more like a uni campus than a school!

The dts have just started scouts and continuing to be hard work. dt2 is a little bugger, any hope of school calming him down have vaporised!

Lew sounds so grown up now! How are your trio doing, trips?

shabbapinkfrog · 22/06/2011 11:36

Oh that sounds lovely - I have Friday and Monday off from childminding duties. DS1, DDIL and the Lewmeister are off to the Lake District for a long weekend. Camping with about 20 other people!!! The friends our Dan made at school still see each other every week. They now all have partners/wives and several children between them. I will be a 'lady of leisure' both days Hmm

shabbapinkfrog · 22/06/2011 11:37

Chops - all growing up now? Yep (according to Lew) 'me is a big, big boy Andma, me going nursery in October and big, big school next year!!' He just turned 3!

Mabelface · 22/06/2011 11:44

Hello Chops. I'm another triplet mum. My motley crue are 12, plus an 18 year old who is off to uni in September.

chopstheduck · 22/06/2011 11:44

aww that is sweet! I think mine started nursery at 2, couldn't wait to get rid of them for a few hours Grin

chopstheduck · 22/06/2011 11:46

Hi madizzy, nice to 'meet' you. I am in awe of those who survive triplets!

Uni must be a scary time, i'm finding secondary tough enough.

ahh beetroot, funny you should mention it as H brought back a bagful from the allotment y/day. Recipes needed please as every year it gets wasted. Same as strawberries, a whole trugful, I am not into jam making, what do I do with them all, if you freeze them they go mushy.

Oh yes.....................................morning girls :)

shabbapinkfrog · 23/06/2011 07:13

Morning girls - pickle it all Trips!!

Friday and Monday - Rubester!!

I will be able to have two days where I dont have to be Action Man or a WWE wrestler - dont have to talk in a strange American accent or even have the music channel on if I dont want to Wink

shabbapinkfrog · 23/06/2011 07:14

pickle the beetroot I meant Trips - not the strawberries LOL xx

Mabelface · 23/06/2011 12:46

Afternoon all! Ruby, luckily DS1 is going to be living at home for the first year, as it's only in Manchester. He'll move out in the second year.

Beetroot is very wrong.

chopstheduck · 23/06/2011 13:55
Grin

Use the strawberries in pimms! Or just eat them with balsamic vinegar, yum!

I haven't dared pick our beetroots yet, and have no idea what I will do with them neither, possibly roast them? All this rain, my spuds and rocket are growing like weeds.

Shabs, I reckon I gonna have two little WWE obsessives after the weekend! We're off to a Libre Lucha (?) show at the weekend. Not seen anything like that since I was about 10 - I can remember my dad making my brother a wrestling ring out of balsa wood!

We're also doing horse riding saturday, and a ten mile community bike ride on sunday - I am soo going to be walking strangely on Monday Grin
