I wouldn't have wished the early months on anyone - I used to want to punch old ladies who cooed over the buggy and said, " I always wanted twins."
However, I'm prepared to say that now they are 8 its Ok - no - its good!
Anyone else pleasantly surprised by starting to enjoy being a mummy of twins?

Ooh yes I love my twin reins. Only had them a week or two, but they're so much easier than the single reins I had previously.

Now I just need to get DTD to keep up with DTS, as I have one charging ahead and one being dragged along behind at the moment Grin

(Mind you, it was so windy this morning I buggied them into nursery for fear they might blow away if I made them walk!)

So so so agree! I feel bad saying it to other people, but i really didnt 'enjoy' the first year. As much as i loved them, it was all very scarey and hard work. Just the slog of feeding and nappies and carrying them everywhere was immense. As my girls were my first also, it was the steepest learning curve id ever experienced!! As soon as id get used to one little routine or behaviour pattern, something else would change and it would be back to the beginning!

My girls are now nearly 3, we have tantrums every so often and they are active all the time but i really enjoy them now, they are fun and a pleasure to be with most of the time:) Love the fact they have each other, it really does mean they are entertained for the majority of the time, whereas a single child would possibly need much more attention. At present they are watching their hour of cbeebies time and chattering to each other whilst i have a cuppa! Looking forward to everything that is to come with them now:)))

I hated the first year. I remember crying my heart out to the hv saying I couldn't cope while all she wanted to do was get me down to the drs and get some tablets. No, that won't work as I would still have the dts who spent most of their first year crying for no (I think) apparent reason!
