Hi

My due date is 1st feb and at this time my twin girls be 21 months old. I am in need of some puschair advice.

At the mo I seem to use my radio flyer cart to take the kids everywhere. They love it and it's very easy. They can walk but I am concerned about crowd control as i am on my own a lot and don't want to be trapped at home in need of an extra set of hands when we go out.

Can anyone suggest a buggy?

We have an easywalker duo but to be honest my girls I think are still small for their age and would struggle with a buggy board. I sm seriously thinking of anABC or if I win the lottery a baby jogger triple from the states. The ABC seems good though?

Thanks!!

ARe you in the States? a little red wagon? Thats SO COOL!!! I wouldn't imagine it keeps them kind of "trapped"/strapped in though?

No I am in the uk! I got the radio flyer with two seats and they have straps. Also a sun canopy. We have a trailor for it too and my hubby suggested binging the car seat in that just to pull over the park but without straps it's a nuts idea. The radio flyer is a god send though!!!

We have an ABC buggy and i think its superb, I love it. I had a 15 month old when the twins come along so had the toddler seat on top for Harry. Im expecting my 2nd set of twins so will be using the 2 proper seats for the babies and one girl will sit on the seat up top and the other on the buggy board as they are wanting to walk more but I cant control both of them and a double buggy and Harry lol

I had the Nipper Double and a sling for my 15 month old twins when dd came along. When the twins hit 2 I got a buggy board.

Great pushchair,v light and thin.

Oh its going to be crazy once they are hear lol, I cant get away with a sling as have a weak pelvis in pregnancy anyway so need it to recover without extra weight of a baby.

LargeGlassofRed · 14/01/2011 20:50

Ah when are you due, harrygracejessica? snd hoe old will your other three be?
It will be lovely having such a big family, I have five children but they are quite spaced out.

hello sazzleevans, our twins were 21 mths when ds3 was born (nearly 2 years ago!!!). I struggled with a triple for 6 mths (see profile pic) it was hard work, or used the double nipper and a sling.

Then I continued to use the double nipper with a baby and toddler in it and the other toddler sat on the roof!!!! Fab in the summer but no good if raining Wink

Good luck I found it to be a fab age gap, especially now, next week ds3 will be two and dts are 4 in March

ABC has saved lived and sanity for us: 18 month old DS when twin daughters were born, he loves sitting on the big brother top seat. We got it on ebay really pretty cheap. Good luck!

Sorry only just seen a reply on here.

Going by the due date DS will be 4, the girl twins will be 2 when the boy twins arrive. If they are earlier than 33 weeks (the girls were 33 weekers) then DS will be 3 and the girls 2.

Hi sazzleevans I am new to this site and just had to join this thread as i will be in the same position as you.
I currently have 14 month old twins and am 8 weeks pregnant...havent had a scan yet, so hopefully all is well with baby and i would have thought there is just the one in there this time, as my twins are identical, so would be very spontaneous to have another set!
My twins will be 21 months when baby is due in Sept, so we will be in the same dilemma as you...my initial thoughts are to keep my tandem pushcahir i already have for the twins and buy a buggy board for it, so i can have baby in carseat on pushchair, along with one of the toddlers and the other toddler on a buggy board...im not sure how difficult this would make it to push, but would be quite a good idea to teach one toddler at a time to stand/walk nicley with the pushchair, yet there is still a seat for a rest so the toddlers can be swaped every now and then if out for long! Or my other thought was the sling thing as someone has already mentioned...twins still in pushchair and baby in sling until baby gets too big!
I think i will do abit of both...but still have a little while to think about it!
Please let me know the method you choose when your baby is here and how you get on! Good Luck! :)

I have twin boys aged 22 months and a DS aged 8 months (and DS 9, DD 7) harrygracejessica I thought I had my hands full!! I have a T3 jogger which i bought off ebay for about £400 and its a godsend - we would be housebound without it and get loads of positive comments whilst out and about. I put DS in one side, one twin in the other side and the other twin in the jockey seat on the front (i rotate them to make it "fair"). As im only 5ft 3in I was put off the ABC as I didnt know if I would be able to see over the top. The T3 is easy to push and isnt too wide so fits into most doorways. It also has loads of pockets so you dont need a separate bag for all your bits and a large shopping basket. I honestly cant recommend it enough. I've also recently bought a Mia Moda which has a seat at the front (from 6 months) and a built in buggy board, and seat for if they get tired of standing, on the back. I bought this in the hope of getting one twin to walk but it hasnt proved very successful and is in the garage until the twins are a bit older. I have had both twins on the back, one on the seat and the other on the buggy board but they werent keen. Hope this helps and good luck
