Any one a member of TAMBA?

Is it worth joining? I was thinking of joining mainly for the discounts but if the membership costs more than the amount I would save it doesn't seem worth it! My twins are 2 so the Clarks discount would be used, but without joining I don't know who else participates.
Thanks

Hi catj, I'm not a member myself but I think Marslady is. She's usually about and I'm sure will reply soon. She has five kids though (twins in there too) so it might take her a while to find her way out from under a heap of something. Maybe its laundry or maybe she's hiding...... .

Hope this helps (not a bit actually!).

No experience myself, but a chappie who I used to work with has quads and they found TAMBA very, very useful. The girls must be about 12 now, and he and his wife are still members, so it must have some benefits.

QUADS . Need a big heavy drink and a chat with DP along the lines of "hey honey, how d'ya fancy having your bollocks opened up, tied up and tied together again".

Oh yes, quads. Four. All at the same time. No fertility treatment involved. If I remember rightly he had the snip very soon after, can't for the life of me think why ...

We joined when I was pregnant but didn't renew this year. The clarks discount was ok but as it was £30 to join we would have to spend £300 to cover the joining fee! The other discounts were very location specific and all for shops which specialise in 'twin' things (double the price, half the usefullness i feel) The mag was very good but only quarterly. Maybe we'll rejoin when the twins are bigger as they did have lots of stuff about schooling and teenagers but at the mo its not a high priority.

Hi.

Yeah we're members. I did think long and hard about rejoining, cos I prefer Startrite shoes for DT1 and like you wasn't sure that the Clarks discount would make it worth it........

However......

subscribing to TAMBA allows it's helpline to stay functioning and who knows when we might need it. Also other parents currently need it and will continue to.

The magazine has some helpful hints in it.. even for mothers of large broods such as myself.

The Clarks discount works for all the kids... rather handy cos if I buy them 2 pairs each then effectively I have 1 pair free.

I think TAMBA provide a great service and occasionally I'll get something back, discount, mag etc... So I renewed for 5 years cos there is a significant discount for a 5 year renewal.
