I've just put mine in front of the washing machine as nothing else was working and we're still an hour from a feed. Can't go out as older sibling is ill.
I already do: - singing nursery rhymes, conversation, read books, under baby gym, tummy time, in cot with mobile on, in bouncers with toy bar but still can't seem to keep them occupied for the 2 hour awake stretch.
They're not much into toys at the moment. Just turned 16 weeks.
What do you do?

Just marking my place, will come back later - here's hoping someone has some ideas!

Only thing I can think of that you havent mentioned above (but you prob already do) is that we often dance around to the radio with me kind of singing in their face (one at a time) - they LOVE it; mine seem to favour a bit of motown and easy listening...most uncool.

On a slightly different note, how to you get them to enjoy tummy time? Both of mine object forcibly after just a few minutes - I leave them a bit but always cave before long as it crescendos into screams, are they alone in not liking being on their tummies? I've tried getting down to their level, playing with stuff to try and get them looking up etc.

it has to be well supervised obviously put i put them on the sofa so they are just looking over the edge then put something there for them to look at. only works for about 5 mins tho.
Will try the dancing next time the blinds are down! thanks.

I used to put mine in front of the washing machine too

Bells tied to their ankles and wrists was always a laugh.
