Hi All
my twins are a couple weeks off they're first birthday, i dunno where that year went!! lucky for me i went back to my prepregnancy weight a few months after the birth which im assuming was because of breastfeeding. But the sagging skin is lookin crap, im pissed off with it big time probably more so now cuz of summer and im thinkin the bikini shot wouldnt be a good look. im not fussed on the stretch marks neither but i know two beautiful babies vs mummy marks something has to give. but this skin is just uncontrollable, even when i try to tuck it into jeans/tracksuit bottoms, half of it just hangs over the top, its terrible. Big suck in knickers is the only thing that makes me look remotely streamline but im 28 i dont wanna be wearing them all the time. Just wondering has anyone had this and manaeged to tighten it up without surgery? does exercise concentrating on that area help at all or do i just have to put up with it forever? Thanks

Mine is the same. However haven't done anything about it so I haven't any advice. Sorry. I wasn't a bikini wearer anyway

Hi Valz. Sorry to break this to you but I have 11 y.o.twins born at term and the saggy skin on my belly never recovered, sadly. It's definitely better than @1 year postnatal and stomach toning exercises can help a bit but I'm afraid nothing can restore elasticity to over-stretched skin. I would definitely not wear a bikini. The only time my belly has looked reasonable since is when I was pregnant with my daughter!

my twins are 15mo and I'm also feeling a bit depressed about my twin skin, but I am assuming it will never be the same. Amazingly, the stretch marks and the C-section scar that looked so awful at the time are hardly noticable now, but the jelly belly...urgh!

One piece swimming costumes all the way!

My twins are only 14 weeks old and i hate my twin skin so much. They weighed just over 7lb each and my skin was so over strecthed. I don't have a belly button anymore as it was so stretched where the skin sags so much it's disappeared.

I'm still carrying just under 2 stone of baby weight, which i want to lose, but on the other side of it, if i lose it my saggy skin will be a million times worse. So do i stay with my big belly and stretch marks or lose the weight and have even more twin skin hanging?

All in all, i think i can put up with which ever, but i feel so lucky to have two beautiful healthy babies.

hi valz, my twins are almost 3yo and i posted the same thing about when they were a year as well. my skin has definitely improved since then and continues to do so - i'm not sure when it will stop improving but yes it does still look like an old lady's neck and face - huge amount of excess skin and i wear nancy ganz style undies pretty much all the time otherwise people can see my skin overhang. i know what you mean, i'm 29 and i sure don't think the suckyinny undies are sexy and i def wouldn't wear a bikini, but have hope, it is about 50% better than when they were a year old.
